Egg Carton Creation

EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.
I used these materials, egg cartons, paper,
and green paint.

What I found hard was painting it because it was hard to paint without getting your fingers covered in paint.

What I found easy was drawing the eyes because all I had to do was cut a circle and draw the pupil.

Paper Plane Comp

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be crazy because I thought it would outside and it would be windy and cold so everyone would be talking a lot
.

I decided to use the design Dart design because it looked easy.

The hardest part was folding it because it had to be perfect to fly well.

During our competition time, I managed to score zero points.

Birthday Card Idea

This is my birthday card Idea for Mrs coles and Mr. Fraser, The Idea is that the pukeko is waiting for his friends to come to his Pavlova birthday party. I did everything in felt tips. The green stuff is grass and then there is the mud which he is standing on. The joke will be, Q, What do baseball teams and cakes have in common.
A, They both need a batter.

Sick Sentences

Maths Mystery

This is my maths mystery work. I think the answer is Yves. The hard bit was the first one because I couldn't see the subtraction symbol so I kept on adding. The easy bit was second to the last one because it was simple equations.

Ball Tower

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws, and a sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Janko and Joseph.

At first, we had trouble with getting it to stand because it was too heavy on the top of the tower.

The easiest thing was getting it to stand when the teacher measured it.

The best part of our tower was the base of it because we made a tripod.

Our tower looked tall.

In the end, it looked like this.

Maths Challenge

This the math challenge that I did, I think te answer is Captain Steve. The hard bit was going back and getting the proof for the teachers. But well I was getting the proof I changed my idea of what the answer was. The easy bit was the second question which was the symmetry one with the hats. It was really fun, I hope I get pulled out of the draw.

Case Closed

Today we found out who did the crime and it was Mrs. Taaffe she was the one who stole 18 Milky Ways, broke our window, and took the Dongle....
